Currently, working on building a complete game. This is very easy to make, but completely time consuming. I have quite a few errors within the game; most are not game breaking. However, right now the hero can't get up the stairs. :\ I'm working on correcting that as we speak... However enjoy the game!

Forgetful John
I have been forgetting to post on here all the work that is going on throughout the weeks. So here is a little art dump from the previous weeks. Enjoy!

This is a video of how the UI will work in our game. The only thing it's missing is multiplayer. I also do not have the timing exactly correct, but it'll be correct in Unity.
This is a train table surprise for my son. I finally have all the seams together, and have put down it's first layer of base coat. I hope to have the project done for Christmas.

This is the horse chase "track" for the intro to the level that I'm creating. I hope to add water, and more textures.
I have more videos coming, but they're currently processing. Once they're complete I'll provide the link.

This is my edit after the constructive criticism as I understood it from my brother. I've also removed the watermark so that the image can be seen much more clearly.
Rocket_WIP
I've fixed most of the lights. Still working on the floor, the beams, the railing, the back window, the front window, and brick.
Brochure Before and After Example
This is a simple demonstration of my skills with Photoshop and Illustrator. Here is a before and after of a brochure from a local company in Austin. Let me be clear; this is not an attack on the company. As I highly recommend them if you need their software packages, but this is an example of how I can improve their sales/marketing with a simple brochure. (My friend even works there!)
As you can currently see, the company's current brochure (on the left) is using clip art, there is no theme except for a picture of a happy child and a nurse, and the information looks dull. To me this looks like a typical brochure you would get at a convention after listening to a salesman for 15 minutes. Also this brochure is a piece of paper, there is no way to give this information out other than handing it to someone, or having someone download it from the company's website. The contact info is obscure, and should be all over the brochure in my opinion.
My brochure, on the right, is a 5x7 postcard that can be mailed out to anyone, or handed out at that convention I mentioned earlier. This version also saves paper, as you can print on both sides and then cut the middle. (You also get two postcards per page!) It doesn't have any clip art, the artwork is themed for children (smiley faces) as it's a Pediatrics brochure, and the overall aesthetic looks much nicer. The contact info is the return address; no one can miss that. The info is also listed on the front of the postcard; just in case. Social media contacts were added to the document to update the company's status to: "We know social media, and you can contact us that way too!" You can see a larger image below.
I completed this postcard in about three hours. The most difficult part was copying the information on the brochure and pasting it in my copy. Castle Exterior
I was asked to model an exterior castle. I've pretty much have it blocked out. Now for the finer details of each piece.
More Interior WIP
I'm having some serious issues with AO. As you can see my shadows are not naturally gathering in the corners. Not exactly sure what's going on, but I'll resolve it. :D
Warehouse in Unity
This is the first time I'm using Unity after watching a few tutorials online and learning a few awesome things from my Professor. I ran into a few issues with getting the character to not clip into the ground, but I resolved those issues. Also, the level has quite a few scaling issues that I didn't think about while creating the environment. Anyway, not bad for a days work!
Warehouse Level WIP
I'm still sorting out all the textures. Right now most of them are tiled textures, but I will fix them after getting some good AO. I feel like I should change up some of those boxes. We'll see how it goes tonight. I also added a nifty little forklift. Woot! \o/
